Privacy Policy

Private Polish ("we", "us") provides private online Polish lessons at privatepolish.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it.

When you book a lesson or contact us we collect your name and email address, and the details of the lesson you book (language track, date and time).

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe handles that as a PCI-compliant payment processor. We store a payment reference so we can match your booking and issue refunds.

To create your lesson we may add your email to a Google Calendar invitation, which generates the video-call link. Your name and email are shared with Google for this purpose.

We store a small amount of information in your browser (your language preference and booking selections) using localStorage. This stays on your device.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, device type, approximate region). Google Analytics sets cookies for this purpose; the reports we see are aggregated and do not identify you personally.

To provide and confirm your lessons, send you the calendar invitation and video link, process payments and refunds, send optional lesson reminders, and respond to your enquiries. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

Only the service providers needed to run the lessons: Stripe (payments), Google (calendar and video), our email provider (confirmations and reminders), and our hosting provider. Each processes your data only on our instructions.

We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, or a copy, and you can object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email us and we will respond within 30 days.
